Battling through the snow!

Well, I think it's fair to say that non of us were expecting the "Beast from the East" (not my new stage name!) in March. The prospect of snow this weekend was made all the more interesting by the fact that I was booked to play on the Isle of Bute off the west coast of Scotland.

After much checking of road closures and weather reports on Saturday morning I'm pleased to say that I had an uneventful 240 mile journey up to Wemyss Bay. I wasn't the only one that was concerned about the weather, half of the hotel guests had to cancel as they couldn't make it.

This left me with a lovely crowd of die hard Elton John fans who thoroughly enjoyed dancing and singing along to all of Elton's greatest hits.

It's a long way to go but I love going to the Isle of Bute, it's so relaxing and beautiful up there. I've been performing my Elton John Tribute there for many years now and plan on doing so for many more.

All the best and keep your eyes out for the "Big Thor". (Sounds like a movie to me).
